Mumbai, Apr 16: The second accused in the Mulund bomb blast case, who was arrested yesterday in connection with the March 13 blast in a local train, has been booked under Pota, police sources said here today. Atif Nasir Mulla was produced in a special court yesterday and remanded to police custody till April 28.

Mulla is the second accused arrested in the case after Saquib Nachan, who was arrested on April 10 and booked under prevention of terrorism act.
Mulla is suspected to be involved in every stage of the terrorist operation, from its inception to final execution, they said.

The accused is an MBA graduate and a resident of Padgha village in Bhiwandi Taluka in neighbouring thane district. He was arrested near Bandra-Kurla complex by crime branch sleuths. Nachan, meanwhile, faces charges of conspiracy to engineer the Mulund blast in which 11 persons were killed.

Five more persons could be arrested in connection with the blast, sources said.
