BJP raking Ram Temple issue for election: Gowda
Thane, July 20: Former Prime Minister Dewe Gowda today alleged that BJP, which had kept aside the issue of Ram Temple and Ayodhya for four and a half years, was once again raising it on the eve of election and approaching citizens with the `emotional issues` for the mandate.

Talking to reporters here after attending the state executive committee meeting of Janata Dal (Secular), he said, "Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has gone back on his words by once again raising the issue of Ram Temple and Ayodhya."
“The common agenda of the NDA of 23 parties is buried and gone down the drains,” Gowda said adding that “on account of this NDA allies are humiliated and deceived by the Prime Minister”.
Referring to the alleged distribution of trishul by VHP international spokesman Praveen Togadia last evening here, Gowda said he wondered the purpose of the same and added that he was "against distribution of even lathis". Bureau Report
