Eight former cricketers nominated for CEAT lifetime awards
Mumbai, Oct 22: Eight ex-cricketers, including former India skipper Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, have been nominated for the lifetime achievement awards to be given during the 8th annual CEAT International Cricket Rating Awards cermony here today.
Mumbai, Oct 22: Eight ex-cricketers, including former India skipper Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, have been nominated for the lifetime achievement awards to be given during the 8th annual CEAT International Cricket Rating Awards cermony here today.
A four-member panel of judges, including former India captain Ajit Wadekar, have nominated 83-year-old Vijay Hazare, former India skipper Polly Umrigar, famous spinners Erapalli Prasanna, Bhagwat Chandrashekar and Srinivas Venkataraghavan, master batsmen Gundappa Vishwanath and Dilip Vengsarkar for the coveted award.
Three other judges apart from Wadekar are former test star Sanjay Manjrekar and noted cricket writers Ayaz Memon of Times of India and Lokendra Pratap Sahi of Telegraph.
