Manila, Nov 08: Shooting broke out in the vicinity of the Manila airport control tower in the Philippine capital today after armed men seized the building, radio stations reported from the scene. Airport manager Edgar Manda said, "police action is ongoing" after armed men seized the tower, situated outside a passenger terminal.


There were no immediate reports of casualties. Radio stations said armed men led by a former aviation regulator, Panfilo Villaruel, had seized the tower shortly after midnight.
