Andhra Pradesh Congress leaders summoned to Delhi for early Assembly elections
Vijayawada, Nov 11: Amidst speculations of early Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the Congress high command has summoned state party leaders to Delhi today for consultations forcing a temporary halt to the PCC`s `Bus Yatra` seen as a virtual launch of poll campaign.
Vijayawada, Nov 11: Amidst speculations of early Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the Congress high command has summoned state party leaders to Delhi today for consultations forcing a temporary halt to the PCC's 'Bus Yatra' seen as a virtual launch of poll campaign.
APCC president D Srinivas told reporters here that "Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu's foundation stone laying spree and announcement of welfare schemes among others is indicative of early polls."
The 'Bus Yatra' would be temporarily halted in view of the high command's summons, he said.
The seven-day old yatra had entered Krishna district and would complete the last assembly segment - Jagiahpet - later, he said.
