Kota, June 10: Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed concern over increasing number of illegal madrasas in border areas of Rajasthan and criticised Ashok Gehlot government for not taking any action against it. A large number of madrasas and mosques have come up without permission near important defence installations, railway stations, airports, power stations and dams where in the name of religious education children are being trained for ‘jehad’, a resolution passed at a two-day meeting of the state executive of the BJP, concluded here yesterday, said. Instead of having an effective control on madarsas the Rajasthan Government is extending financial and other support to them, the resolution alleged. Because of Muslim appeasement policies being pursued by the state government, headed by Congress, anti-social elements were raising their heads disturbing communal harmony, it said. The resolution also accused the chief minister for indirectly promoting anti-national elements in the state by announcing that his government would not implement POTA. In another resolution, the party said that the Gehlot government had lost moral right to continue in the office after its failure on all fronts.
