New Delhi, Sept 20: Bar Council of India (BCI) today stayed the election of Delhi Bar Council (DBC) as serious illegalities were allegedly committed by DBC office bearers. "DBC had left out more than 15,000 members from the voter's list and we had received representation from advocates associations regarding the same. Besides Attorney General of India Soli Sorabjee too opined that there were illegalities," BCI vice chairman Adish Aggarwala said.

Delhi Bar Association, Delhi Tax Bar Association, Bharathiya Vakil Sangh, candidates Satish Chawla, Apporv Lal, Sri Kishen, R S Jakhar and H S Bhadana sent representations to BCI - the apex regulatory body - alleging various illegalities, Aggarwala said.
