Varanasi, Mar 05: Varanasi Superintendent of Police (SP) Dyaneshwar Tiwari, whose transfer orders were revoked by the Election Commission (EC) yesterday, has resumed duty this morning. Mr Tiwari told a news agency today that he took charge from his successor Dr Jawahar Kushwaha late last night soon after the state government cancelled his transfer orders on the EC's directive yesterday. Sources said Congress leader Ratnakar Tripathi had complained to the commission that the transfer of Mr Tiwari was in violation of the model code of conduct, which was enforced throughout the country on February 29.
