New Delhi, Sept 14: Intensifying his campaign for the coming Assembly elections, Delhi BJP unit chief Madan Lal Khurana today criticised the Sheila Dikshit government for
"retracting" on its promises made before coming to power.
"Congress has failed to tackle the everyday problems
affecting the people of Delhi," Khurana said while addressing
a gathering in west Delhi as part of his Parivartan Yatra.
Fervently appealing to the masses to vote for BJP, he said if the party came to power, development will be the priority for its government.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP national president M Vankaiah Naidu said, "The coming Assembly elections in five states are like semi-finals prior to the general elections slated to take place in October 2004."
Naidu said, "The people of delhi require a government which can work in tandem with the Centre and not like the present Congress government which only opposes every step taken by the NDA government."
Union Labour Minister Sahib Singh Verma and party spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi were also present on the occasion. Bureau Report
