Agartala, July 04: Thirty three tribals, including Reang refugees, have died of gastro enteritis in remote north Tripura district, according to official sources in the state relief and rehabilitation department. The disease spread to several villages under Kanchanpur subdivision where Reang refugees from neighbouring Mizoram are sheltered in six evacuee camps. The sources said efforts have been taken to ensure supply of safe drinking water in the villages and the refugee camps, and teams of doctors with medicine sent to check further spread of the deadly disease. Health camps are being organised in the affected areas and all the primary health centres, and subdivisional hospital were put on maximum alert to cope with the situation. Bureau Report
