Kolkata, July 11: Disinvestment Minister Arun Shourie on Friday said the government will sell the remaining stakes in five state-run firms that have been privatised in the past two years within six months. "We will be entering negotiations from next week, and after discussions we will place them in the market in the next six months," Shourie said in a business conference.
India's privatisation panel had approved the sale of the remaining stakes in petrochemicals firm IPCL, metals firm BALCO, oil retailer IBP, telecoms firm VSNL and software firm CMC on Thursday.
Shourie said due diligence was already on in oil firm Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd. Bureau Report
