Ayodhya, June 16: one of the main plaintiffs in Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case, Mohammed Hashim Ansari, today said the prolonged excavation at the acquired land in Ayodhya was proof that no evidence had yet been found about existence of a temple at the disputed site.
In a statement here, Ansari welcomed efforts to resolve the Ayodhya issue through dialogues, but said the pertinent question was when the deity will be shifted from makeshift structure paving the way for re-construction of the mosque.
He said for those who talked about temple construction by force, it will be better to show their bravery to defend "our" international border which were illegally occupied by China.
He pleaded for peaceful and amicable settlement of Ayodhya issue for peace and prosperity in the country.
