The Madras High Court on Wednesday granted bail to six associates of forest brigand Veerappan who were arrested in November last for supplying foodgrains to the poacher and receiving cash from him during kidnap incident of Kannada film star, Rajkumar.
Justice Malai Subramaniam granted the bail to Iyandurai, Mathaiyan and others on condition that they should execute a bond for Rs 5000 each along with two sureties of the like amount and that they should report before the police station at Kolathur, near Salem, daily.
The six accused were arrested in November last on the charge that they were in possession of some cash, cash deposits and jewels, allegedly received from the poacher.
