The designated CBI court on Friday extended the validity of Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) issued against Kuala Lumpur-based Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi and directed the CBI to speed up the extradition proceedings in the Malaysian court. Special judge R L Chugh heard the application of Europe-based Hinduja brothers - Srichand, Prakashchand and Gopichand - not to appear personally before the court. The court fixed the next date of hearing on April 20. Earlier, the court had exempted other accused Win Chadha and former defence secretary S K Bhatnagar from personal appearance on health ground.
The CBI counsel also handed over documents to the counsel of Hinduja brothers and the Bofors company, now renamed Kartongen Kemi Och Farvaltning Ab. Bureau Report
