Ahmedabad, June 06: An inspector of CID (Crime) Gujarat police has been suspended on charges of indisciplinary behaviour, a top ranking official said here today. The senior official told a news agency that on condition of annonymity that inspector M Y Sindhi was suspended as he refused to follow instructions several times and had also abstained from being present at several official meetings. Sources in the office of director general of police, Gandhinagar said Sindhi allegedly threw a tantrum when he was handed over the suspension orders and left without reporting to superiors. His service revolver was also seized by officials and extra personnel were stationed to make sure he reported to officials on being sighted, the sources added.
The official said that there were several complaints against Sindhi and he would be chargesheeted for indisciplinary behaviour soon.
Sources in the DG office also said Sindhi, who reportedly had been behaving in an erratic manner, had also been suspended earlier on similar charges. The tainted official was unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts.
