Agartala, Jan 31: NLFT militants kidnapped four fishermen, while four ultras and a school student were killed in separate incidents in Tripura last night. Police said here today that the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants kidnapped four fishermen from Dambur Lake in South Tripura. Security forces had launched a search.
At least three NLFT ultras were killed during an encounter between two rival factions in a jungle at Chawmanu in Dhalai district. A tribal school student was also killed in the crossfire.
In another incident, a militant was killed during an encounter with the security forces at Bishalgarh in West Tripura.
