New Delhi, May 06: The Supreme Court today reserved its order on maintainability of application filed by Gujarat government and accused in the Best Bakery Case seeking review of an earlier judgement direction transfer of the riot case trial to be shifted to a Maharashtra court. While severely criticising the government for mentioning certain things in the application "which not only hurt the judiciary but also the profession", the apex court said it will go into the question raised by the state that the Supreme Court did not have suo moto power to transfer a trial. The Gujarat government also seeks expungment of certain remarks against it in the judgement by which the apex court had set aside the acquittal of all the 21 accused in the Best Bakery case.
