New Delhi, May 25: Delhi Police today claimed to have solved the sensational May 22 double-murder case of two alleged drug peddlers in north-west Delhi and arrested two persons in this connection. "After working hard we have been able to solve the case and arrested two persons - Sandip and Sukhjinder - of Amritsar who were involved in the murder," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (north-west) R S Yadav told reporters. Forty four-year old Meena and her son's friend 18-year old Gaurav were murdered on May 22 at Rama Vihar while Meena's daughter Poornima was injured in the incident, that was a fall out of a quarrel between drug addicts and drug peddlers, the police official said. Yadav said Meena, Gaurav, Poornima and Meena's son Gulshan were allegedly members of a drugs-peddling gang and used to work on behalf of a jailed drug-peddler - Ravi Pandey. The gang used to allegedly supply drugs to several cities in north India, including Amritsar. "Sandip and Sukhjinder were duped by the gang which allegedly supplied spurious drugs. When the duo demanded good quality drugs or return of their money (Rs 10,000) the gang refused leading to a quarrel and subsequently the murder," Yadav said.

Both the accused were arrested near Shish Ganj Gurdawara, Chandni Chowk last evening," he said, adding further investigation was on.
