Agartala, Nov 16: In an exclusive interview with Zee News correspondent Manzar Alam, Tripura chief minister Manik Sarkar voiced concern about the ISI and al-Qaeda operations from Bangladesh.
"We have handed over a detailed report of the movements of these terrorist organisations along with the maps of their training camps to the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister as well as the Defence Minister recently. Some serious steps must be taken at the earliest to arrest the situation," he said. Besides, he said militant organisations like Tiger Force and National Liberation Force of Tripura are active in the state.
Meanwhile, Mizoram Chief Minister Zorangthanga, was quoted as saying that if peace talks with NSCN(I-M) are a success, then it will cast a ripple effect on other militant outfits that are active in the region. It is obvious that reality of terrorist operations in Bangladesh has gone home seriously in New Delhi. Recently Deputy PM L K Advani took up these alarming reports with the Bangladeshi authorities and urged them to clamp down on such activities.
