Agartala, Nov 19: Bodies of two persons, including an insurgent of banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and a female labourer have been recovered in separate incident in Tripura, police said today. Acting on a tip-off from the villagers about gun battle between two factions of the NLFT, police raided Sudrrapara village under Sringagar Police Station of West Tripura district at wee hours today and recovered bullet-riddled body of a NLFT insurgent.

Exact identity of the insurgent had not been ascertained yet, police said.

The gun battle broke out between two factions of NLFT - Nayanbasi group and Biswamohan group yesterday and the exact identity of the deceased was yet to be known. Meanwhile, police recovered body of a female labourer yesterday, identified as Chungi Reang from Bhangmun village of North Tripura district.

The female labourer who went to collect fire woods was strangulated by suspected NLFT insurgents, police said adding search operation has been launched to track them down, police said.
