Perth, Nov 30: Tournament favorites Argentina shut out 2002 Champions Trophy winners China 2-0 Saturday for its fourth straight win at the women's field hockey World Cup.
Agustina Garcia scored in the fifth minute and again in the 10th as the South Americans put themselves in a good position as one of the two semifinal qualifiers from Pool A.

It was China's first loss after two wins and a draw in its previous matches.

In another early match, Ukraine and Russia played to a 3-3 draw, giving Russia, which scored two late goals, its first point of the competition after four matches. There were three matches scheduled later on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Australian coach David Bell said Saturday he fears players could become robot-like if they are allowed to wear earpieces on the field.
