Chandigarh, Dec 03: A special court in Ropar, Punjab will hear the bail applications of former Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal today.
Rejecting an earlier plea for an interim bail plea, Special Court Judge SK Goel had fixed today for a regular bail application.
The Akali Dal leader, along with his son, was sent to jail by the court two days ago, after it heard a case filed by the Punjab government against them.
The Punjab government has alleged that the Badals had amassed wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.

However, the Shiromani Akali Dal has strongly rallied around their leader and are meeting today evening to decide on their plan of action after the court hears the argument.

The Akali Dal was planning a big birthday bash for Prakash Singh Badal on December 8.
