New Delhi, Sept 27: India and Mauritius are likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of postal and telecom sectors besides harnessing several areas for cooperation between the two countries in Information Technology.
Union Minister for Communications and it Pramod Mahajan who left here on a five-day official visit to the island nation today is also scheduled to inaugurate school of advance computing in Mauritius and lay the foundation stone of the cyber city project there, an official statement said.
The roadmap of the bilateral relationship would also include computer software, R&D and institutional linkages in the knowledge-based industry segment.
Mahajan will also meet his Mauritian counterpart Deelchand Jeeha, and Karl August Offman, president of Mauritius, the statement said.
TCIL, a government of India undertaking, has earlier executed a few projects there.
