New Delhi, Aug 22: Government has decided to amend the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, on the recommendations of the National Commission for Women, Minister of State for Human Resource Development Jaskaur Meena informed Rajya Sabha. The recommendations have been circulated to all states/Union Territories, central ministries concerned for their comments, which are awaited, she said today in a written reply. Education: Minister of State for Human Resource Development Ballabhbhai Kathiria said Kothari Commission had laid stress on uniform education system of 10+2+3 and that the structure has been accepted in all parts of the country. Nirmala: Central Board of Secondary Education has received certain representation with regard to removal of Munshi Prem Chand's novel 'Nirmala' for class 12th students. The board has provided an alternative with "Jyo Mehendi Ko Rang" by Mridula Sinha for March 2004 examination, Kathiria said, adding students have an option to choose from the two books.

Institute: He said Supreme Court in its April 21 order has directed that Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla to vacate the Rashtrapati Niwas, Shimla till December 31. The matter is under consideration, he added. Bureau Report
