Ramallah, Oct 15: Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat condemned a deadly bomb attack on a US diplomatic convoy in the northern Gaza Strip today. "I strongly condemn this crime which targeted American observers who came on a mission of peace and security," he said in a statement issued by his office here.
Arafat also offered his condolences to US President George W Bush.
Palestinian security officials have said four people were killed in the attack near the Erez border crossing into Israel.
US diplomatic sources have said that all the victims were American but have not confirmed the number of casualties.
