Sydney, Sept 15: An airplane belonging to a new
Indonesian-owned airline made an emergency landing at Sydney's
international airport today after a faulty cockpit light
indicated a problem with its hydraulics, the carrier said.
The airbus A300-600 was carrying 124 passengers and 11
crew, said Gary Hilt, national business manager with air
paradise international. The cockpit erroneously indicated that
there was a problem with the plane's hydraulics, hilt said.
Flight ad063 was due to stop in Sydney anyway to pick
up passengers en route to the Indonesian island of Bali from
the southern city of Melbourne but was delayed for about an
hour while the light was fixed, hilt said.
The plane got priority to land and emergency services
at the airport were put on standby.
