Nine member Indian squad announced for World Billiards Championship
The billiards and snooker federation of India (BSFI) on Saturday announced a nine-member Indian team for the World Billiards Championship to be held in Christchurch, New Zealand, from September 10 to 23.

The team includes the four top ranked amateur players of the country Devendra Joshi, Ashok Shandiliya, Manoj Kothari and Alok Kumar while former world champion Michael Ferreira will accompany the team as coach.
Former world champion Geet Sethi, Arun Agarwal, B Bhaskar, Dhruv Sitwala and Vishal Madan were the professionals who have got direct entry, BSFI sources said.
The format of the championship has been changed to four hours game in two sessions of two hours each and the final will be of six hours in three sessions of two hours each.
The tournament is open to professional and amateur players.
