Mumbai, June 29: The Maharashtra government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with US-based Cisco, a leading IT company, to start a diploma course in the engineering and polytechnic colleges across the state. The state government with the assistance of IT company will begin Cisco analyst diploma course in the 14 educational institutions across Maharashtra, an official release said here on Saturday.
The MoU in this regard was signed between Cisco's senior vice-president Prem Jain and Maharashtra's chief secertary Ajit Nimbalkar at San Hoje in USA during Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's 11-day ongoing tour to America.
The state government will soon set up laboratories in these institutions and appoint a project co-ordinator, the release added. Bureau Report
