New Delhi, Oct 23: BJP today ruled out replacement of Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda saying that there was no such proposal before the party. "There is no proposal or thinking of replacing the Jharkhand Chief Minister," party president M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters here.

Referring to media reports that Munda might be replaced, he said such stories were totally wrong.

He said recently a meeting was convened by Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani to review the development process in the state and measures to accelerate the various schemes. The idea was to tell Jharkhand to come out of the "Bihar hangover," Naidu said, adding that a similar exercise was also held for Goa while for Gujarat it was on the cards.

The meeting on Jharkhand was attended by Munda, his predecessor Babulal Marandi, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha, who is an MP from Jharkhand, party General Secretary Pramod Mahajan, besides Naidu.
