New Delhi, May 20: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader and Agriculture Minister Ajit Singh today dismmissed as "media speculation" his possible exit from the Union cabinet saying
his party did not have any problems with the BJP.
He hit out at television news channels saying they were
in search of stories since the viewers tend to get bored if
'repetitive' material is churned out on the small screen.
"BJP and RLD are allies both at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh (UP), I do not have any problems with them", Singh said here. Speaking on the sidelines of an industry function, he said RLD will fight elections in Rajasthan later this year but is yet to decide on alliance with other parties.
He refused to comment on a query over BJP's decision to contest the Rajasthan polls alone.
On whether RLD will fight the next general elections in alliance with the BJP, Singh said Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has stated that the constituents of the NDA will contest the 14th Lok Sabha polls together. "We are part of the NDA coalition", he added.
