Hoshiarpur, June 26: Three persons, including a sarpanch, were injured, one of them seriously, in a clash between two rival groups during the contest for the post of sarpanch at Talwandi Kanugo village in Punjab last night, police said today. Sarpanch Rajpal, who was seeking re-election, and Som Singh and Gurdeep Singh were admitted in the local civil hospital from where Gurdeep, who was seriously injured, was referred to a Ludhiana hospital, they added.
