Port of Spain, May 31: A seminar titled 'Incredible India' was organised here as part of efforts to promote Indian tourism.
Air India's Carribbean region manager Shiv Kapuria said the Caribbean was a favoured market, which India wanted to explore and also envisaged an increase in travel to India in the near future.
Indian high commissioner Virendra Gupta said there was a need for all airlines, inclusive of BWIA and Air India to make India more accessible through affordable airfare.
"Airlines should not look at individual profit", he said and also called on Indians to visit Trinidad and Tobago.
Addressing the seminar, which is part of the Indian tourism roadshow, Trinidad and Tobago minister of culture and tourism Penelope Beckles, mentioned the cultural and religions links between India and Trinidad and Tobago.

Others who attended the event included Trinidad and Tobago's high commissioner-designate to India Maniedeo Persad and tour operator, Hanoomansingh who said "India is familiar territory and the connections are real".
