Islamabad, Oct 10: The European Union poll observers team today said it would release its preliminary report on the conduct of general elections in Pakistan on Saturday.
"The preliminary report taking into consideration all aspects of the elections during the past two months would be released on October 12 itself followed by a final report later," John Cushnahan, leader of the 82 member EU delegation, told reporters while monitoring the polling process here.
Cushnahan, an Irish parliamentarian has said the EU delegation which arrived here two months ago, would take into consideration all allegations including the pre-poll rigging against the Musharraf government.
"It is not just the fairness of today's polling. The whole process to the run up to the polls would be taken into consideration," he said.

"We are examining issues like for example, the independence of the election administration, the legal and constitutional framework, the issue of access to state resources and media, the ability of political parties to organise and campaign as assured in any democratic context," Cushnahan said.
A report carrying the preliminary observations of the EU monitors before the polls, sounded strongly critical of the way the Musharraf government went ahead barring former premiers, Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Shairff and brought in a host of constitutional amendments ahead of the polls. This has reportedly caused friction between the delegation and the Pakistan government. Bureau Report
