Biharsharif, July 19: Tension erupted here as police opened fire in air and burst teargas shells to disperse a rampaging mob after a 14-year-old boy was run-over by a truck near Adarsh School in this north Bihar town today. Police said Ravishankar, who was going for his tuition class this morning, was hit by a truck and was killed on the spot. Angry locals and students damaged several vehicles and blocked the Biharsharif-Barbigha road for hours. They also threw stones at the policemen who fired in air, lobbed teargas shells and used baton-charge to control the mob. Situation was stated to be tense but under control. The body of Ravishankar was sent to a government hospital here for postmortem. Bureau Report
