New Delhi, July 27: Larsen & Toubro aims over 10 per cent sales growth for its electrical and electronics division at Rs 1,000 crore in 2003-04, which it plans to double by next two years.
"The electrical and electronics division targets Rs 2,000 crore sales by 2006-07," L&T Senior Vice President R N Mukhija said here.
The global business would contribute 25 per cent towards the set target, he said adding Malaysia and Middle East would be the key overseas markets.
This is because L&T has already been able to establish its brand image in these markets, he added.
L&T is currently negotiating with some leading electrical manufacturers in Europe for supplying low voltage switchgears, he said and declined to provide more details.
"We plan to do $10 million contract manufacturing on behalf of some leading European brand in two distinct low voltage switchgear product range," Mukhija said.
