Lucknow, May 19: UP BJP district presidents poured their hearts out before the party president Venkaiah Naidu blaming ministers in the government for ignoring the workers. Ministers who visit district headquarters seldom visit party offices, they hardly meet party workers and do not even inform district party officials about their programmes, complained majority of the district presidents here yesterday when Naidu interacted with them.

BJP ministers come and go and we come to know about their visits from the newspapers the next day, said a district president. Due to this lack of interaction the party workers are forced to come to Lucknow at regular basis. If the ministers start meeting workers at district headquarters this can enthuse them (workers), district president of Ballia said.

A senior party official who attended the meeting said the revelation of district presidents has raised a question mark over the co-ordination between the party and the government at the district level.

Insiders in the party said that probably Naidu was expecting district party chiefs to come in open about the BJP-BSP alliance, therefore he had asked the officials to be specific in their complaints. "Tell me exact problems the party workers were facing," Naidu reportedly told the district presidents.

Naidu, who gave a patient hearing, said three member committee comprising state president of party Vinay Katiyar, senior party leaders Kalraj Mishra and Lalji Tandon would meet chief minister at a regular basis to discuss the policy matter of the government
