New York, Aug 05: 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts, the Australian band fronted by actor Russell Crowe, will stage a five-night stand Aug. 17-19, 21 and 23 at Chicago's House of Blues. The Grunts' official Web site (http://www.gruntland.com) says "the band will be joined by some special guests for these shows."
While in Chicago, 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts plan to tape an episode of PBS' "Soundstage" with singer/songwriter/actor Kris Kristofferson. The group will make only one other North American stop this year with an Aug. 22 concert at Winnipeg's Centennial Concert Hall.
30 Odd Foot Of Grunts have a handful of dates remaining on an Australian tour: Thursday (Aug. 7) in Mildura, Friday in Hanwood and Saturday in Albury. Crowe and company are out in support of the album "Other Ways of Speaking." Released in April by Artemis in the U.S., the set debuted at No. 16 on Billboard's Top Internet Albums Sales chart and No. 34 on the Top Independent Albums tally.
