Lucknow, Mar 09: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad examinations for class XII and X are to begin from today. About 35,99,446 students are expected to appear in the exams.

Secondary education, UP director Sanjay Mohan said here today the examinations would finish on April 14 and all arrangements had been made to check any cheating or malpractices.

He said this year 35,99,446 students had registered under the UP Board. There are 6,641 examination centres. Out of these 1,018 had been declared sensitive where special invigilation arrangements had been made, Mohan said. He said this year 10,29,764 students are expected to appear for class XII UP Board examinations while 25,69,682 students in class X.

He said 61 evaluation centres had been set up for the daily evaluation of the answer sheets so that the results were released on time.
