New Delhi, Mar 07: The Liberhan Commission probing the circumstances leading to the demolition of Ramjanma Bhoomi-Babri Masjid structure at Ayodhya, today gave last opportunity to the concerned parties, including the Centre and Uttar Pradesh government, to file their written submissions to commence the final arguments. Directing the parties to file their written submissions by April 2, the commission fixed April 9 to begin the final arguments on a day-to-day basis.

The commissions' order to this effect followed as none of the party filed their written submissions and some of them including the All Indian Muslim Personal Law Board complaining that they were not provided with entire documents and statements of the witnesses.

Directing that all concerned be supplied with the uncertified copies of the statements within two weeks, the commission made it clear that the Centre would start the final arguments.
It said that commission counsel would submit his written opinion in sealed cover to the commission after the written submission of all parties would be filed.

The commission, which has entered into the crucial phase, while concluding recording of evidence on January 22, had asked the parties to file written submissions before the start of the final arguments.
