New Delhi, Oct 08: One more witness in the journalist Shivani Bhatnagar murder case today declined to support the prosecution's case. Deposing before additional district and sessions judge Sunil Gaur, the witness Brijesh Singh, in-charge of a computer institute in Najafgarh by name ET & T Computer Education and Training Centre, denied that Shivani's alleged killer Pradeep Sharma studied in his institute.
Pradeep according to prosecution, had done a training course in this institute in June 1998 for which he filled the admission form and inquiry card in his own hand. When shown the card and form in court today, Singh, however, denied that Pradeep ever studied in the institute.
He said police during investigations had approached him and taken blank inquiry card and admission form from him. The purpose of examining him was to prove the handwriting of the killer on the entry register at Shivani's apartment in East Delhi.
The entry, prosecution claimed, had been made by Pradeep.
Six persons, including senior IPS officer R K Sharma, are standing trial in the case for murdering the Indian Express scribe. Bureau Report
