Army jawan guns down two senior officers in J&K
Jammu, Mar 31: An army jawan shot dead two of his senior officers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), following a verbal duel on the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Batote, official sources said in Jammu on Wednesday.

According to sources, sepoy Pradeep Rao had a verbal altercation on some trivial issue with his colleagues — Subedar GH Haldar and sepoy DS Rao — on Tuesday night at Batote Army camp on the highway, 120 km from Jammu, in Doda district.
Following the incident, Rao shot at his colleagues from his service weapon killing both of them, they said, adding the accused was later overpowered and arrested.
A case has been registered against him, they said.
