New Delhi, July 17: Eminent Gujarati poet Rajendra Keshavlal Shah has been chosen for the prestigious Jnanpith Award for 2001.
New Delhi, July 17: Eminent Gujarati poet Rajendra Keshavlal Shah has been chosen for the prestigious Jnanpith Award for 2001.
The award carries Rs five lakh in cash, a citation and a bronze statue of Vagdevi. The selection of Shah, one of the pioneers of the new trend in Gujarati poetry in the post-independence period, was made by a panel of jury headed by L M Singhvi. Bureau Report
