Indianapolis, Oct 01: Brazilian Rubens Barrichello continued the Ferrari reign over Formula One, leading a one-two sweep in the United States Grand Prix and capturing his fourth win of the season by 0.011sec. Barrichello, who was down almost three seconds with two laps to go, edged team-mate Michael Schumacher into second and McLaren driver David Coulthard in third in a controversial finish to the 73-lap race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
On a cloudy day with track temperatures at 35 Celsius, Barrichello finished one hundredth of a second ahead of Schumacher.

"It is special," said Barrichello. "No, it wasn't planned. We never said it at the beginning of the race. The only time I saw Michael back off was with two lap to go."
Schumacher was ahead by 2.7 seconds on lap 71 before he slowed in what he said was an attempt to share the spoils by crossing the finish line together.

Schumacher, who led almost the entire race, defended the decision to slow which allowed Barrichello to win. Bureau Report
