Faridabad (Haryana), July 19: Seven policemen and some civilians were injured today in a clash following a move to demolish some unauthorised constructions here. A large number of people collected early this morning to protest against demolition of structures in Indiranagar area, police said.
The agitation soon became violent, with the protesters pelting stones and other articles at the policemen, they said. Police responded with a lathicharge and the clash continued for over three hours, they said.
At least seven policemen were injured in the stone pelting and some protesters were also hurt in the police action, they said. Several trains passing through Faridabad were also diverted due to the agitation. Bureau Report
