Patna, July 15: Banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) activists have caused largescale damage to railway tracks leading to derailment of atleast three trains and uprooting of signals and points as part of their Tirhut-Mithinanchal bandh today, railway and police sources said.
The MCC activists blew off about 90 metres of track and broke about one metre railway line in between Bhairogang-Kharpokhra section under Samastipur Division of East Central Railways (ECR) leading to derailment of three coaches of 519 Muzzafarpur-Gorakhpur passenger late last night, ECR PRO Santosh Kumar told news agencies.

There was, however, no (no) report of any casualty.

The ultras have also blown off about 70 metres track near Pipra station in between Muzzafarpur and Sugauli under the same division and damaged signals and points, he said.

The ultras removed fish plates causing second incident of derailment of 285 Darbhanga-Narkatiaganj Express. No casualty has been reported, the ECR sources said.
In the third instance, damaged tracks lead to derailment of three coaches of 5,219 Kurla-Dharbhanga Express at Rambhadrapur near Samstipur, he said.

Train services have been completely paralysed in the Muzzafarpur-Gorakhpur section in view of the MCC causing largescale damage to railway tracks, the railway sources said, adding routes of many trains were being diverted due to blockage of tracks due to derailment and fear of more saboteur activities of the ultra group.
