Washington, June 26: A prominent US senator has expressed disappointment over Pakistan's failure to take full advantage of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's peace initiative. Congressman Joseph Crowley interacted with Musharraf when the latter was received during a members-only meeting of the House international relations committee.

"Prime Minister Vajpayee of India has launched an important initiative recently in proposing a new peace initiative to reduce tensions between your two countries," Crowley told Musharraf.

"I am concerned that Pakistan has not taken full advantage of the opportunity presented by this initiative", Congressman Crowley's office said in a release.
