Ayodhya, Aug 23: A bomb exploded inside a temple near the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site here last night damaging its roof and side walls, police said today.
However, no casualties were reported in the explosion inside the Nishad temple in Katra locality at around midnight, they said.
The temple is situated not far from the acquired land, they said.
Senior civil and police officials, including district magistrate Deepak Kumar and SSP Prabhat Kumar visited the site and an fir has been lodged.
No arrests have been made so far in this connection, they said.
