Chattisgarh team visits city to study power reform
Hyderabad, Nov 02: A high-level team of Chhattisgarh had interaction with officials of Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (Aptransco) here on power reforms being implemented in Andhra Pradesh.

The six-member team headed by Ajay Singh, Secretary, Energy Department of Chattisgarh government and Manoranjan Kumar, Member (Finance) Chattisgarh State Electricity Board, which came here to study the successful power reforms, had a
meeting with board of directors of Aptransco till late last night, an official release said here today.
After the meeting with chairman and managing director Aptransco, Rachel Chatterjee, the team members said Chattisgarh state would try to adopt some of the successful initiatives taken by AP government in the areas of strengthening of transmission and distribution (T&D) network, spot billing, it, consumer call centres, citizen charter and methodology followed for employees options process. Later the team members also had meeting with the secretary energy department of AP, Jannat Husain, who agreed to depute a high level technical team from the state for exchange of the technologies and it measures for the betterment of power sector in Chattisgarh.
The high level team members visited Hyderabad Scada (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) building, various consumer call centres in the city and studied the positive impact of it based pilot project of single window systems (SWS) recently introduced in the areas of central power distribution corporation limited (CPDCL), official sources said.
