Jamshedpur, May 30: Five persons, including a contractor, were abducted by the banned Maoist Communist Centre activists from a place under Kharswan police station of Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand today. About 70-80 MCC ultras kidnapped one contractor and four of his labourers at gunpoint, police said.

However, the exact cause behind the kidnapping could not be ascertained, they said.

Senior police officials of the district have rushed to the spot and a massive combing operation was on to trace the persons kidnapped, they added.
