Surat, Nov 03: Emotions ran high at city's civil hospital when bodies of 24 persons, killed in the bus mishap near Panchgani in Mahastrashtra yesterday, were brought here this morning. "Bodies of 10 men, 10 women and four children would be handed over to their relatives for the final rites after medical examination," hospital sources said.

A total of 24 people were killed and 33 others injured when a luxury bus, belonging to Shreeji Tours and Travels, plunged into a valley near Panchagani in Maharashtra's Satara district on November 01 night. Meanwhile, the district administration had dispatched nine buses to Maharashtra to bring back the survivors of the ill-fated bus mishap, mainly residents of the city and nearby areas. Most of the victims were residents of Katargam, Sagrampoura, Salamatpura, Randher and Adajan areas.

Buses were also sent to bring back the bodies of the deceased persons for their final rites. Bureau Report
